Fifty-six years ago, on 26 September 1969 Abbey Road, the eleventh studio album by the legendary British rock band The Beatles, was released in the United Kingdom by Apple Records. Just a few days later, on 1 October 1969 it made its debut in the United States, issued by Capitol Records Despite internal tensions within the band at the time, Abbey Road would go on to become one of the most iconic and best-loved albums in music history.

Its enduring popularity speaks to the timelessness of The Beatles’ music and the album’s continued relevance across generations.
