Dimitrov Posts Update After Wimbledon Injury Heartache: ‘Recovery Starts Now

 

Grigor Dimitrov has opened up following his unfortunate exit from Wimbledon 2025 due to injury, sharing an honest and hopeful message with fans. The Bulgarian tennis star, who was having a promising tournament, was forced to retire in the fourth round after sustaining a leg injury. Now, determined to bounce back, Dimitrov has given an update on his recovery journey.

 

Posting on social media, Dimitrov wrote, Still tough to accept how my Wimbledon run ended this year. I was feeling great and ready to give my best, but sometimes the body just has other plans. The injury is a setback, but it’s time to focus on healing. Recovery starts now.

 

The injury occurred during a tightly contested match, when Dimitrov slipped and felt immediate discomfort in his leg, which later turned out to be a muscle tear. This forced him to withdraw, disappointing both himself and his loyal supporters.

 

Despite the setback, Dimitrov expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support he received from fans and fellow athletes. Thank you all for the kind messages and encouragement, he said. My team and I are already working on a plan to come back stronger. I can’t wait to be back on the court.

 

Messages of support flooded in from the tennis world, with notable players like Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz wishing Dimitrov a smooth recovery. Even tennis legend Roger Federer shared Dimitrov’s update, praising his fighting spirit.

While no exact timeline for Dimitrov’s return has been announced, early indications suggest he will need several weeks of rest and rehabilitation. This means he might miss some upcoming tournaments in the hardcourt season.

 

Still, Dimitrov remains optimistic and motivated. This isn’t the end  it’s just a pause, he concluded. “I’ll be back, better and stronger.His resilience and positive attitude have reassured fans that despite the current pain, a determined comeback is on the horizon.
