Rumour: Leeds United Inquire About Juventus Star Timothy Weah

Leeds United are reportedly exploring a potential move for Juventus utility player Timothy Weah sparking excitement among fans as the club looks to bolster its squad ahead of the new season. According to close sources, initial inquiries have been made regarding Weah’s availability, with Leeds eyeing him as a versatile option on the right flank.

Weah, 24, currently plays for  Serie A giants Juventus and represents the United States national team Known for his speed, work rate, and adaptability, he is capable of playing both as a winger and a right-back offering tactical flexibility that would be valuable to any side.

Last season, Weah featured 46 times across all competitions for Juventus, registering  6 goals  in a campaign that highlighted his growing maturity and consistency at the top level. While not always a guaranteed starter under Massimiliano Allegri, Weah often impressed when called upon, particularly with his energy in transition and his ability to recover defensively.

Born in New York City, Weah carries a footballing legacy that precedes him. He is the son of  George Weah, the legendary Liberian striker and 1995 Ballon d’Or winner, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest African footballers of all time. Timothy has chosen to carve his own path in the game, and while the expectations are immense, he has steadily built a strong reputation across Europe with previous spells at PSG and Lille before joining Juventus.

Leeds, currently rebuilding with promotion ambitions, view Weah as a player who could make an instant impact both in the Championship or Premier League, depending on how their current campaign unfolds. His experience at a high level, combined with his youth and versatility, fits the profile the club is targeting.

Negotiations are still at a very early stage, and no official bid has been submitted yet. However, should Weah become available at the right price, Leeds could face competition from other European clubs looking to land a dynamic wide player with international pedigree.
