Tragedy Strikes Mississippi School Community: Two Students Killed, Four Injured in Shooting
Bay St. Louis, Mississippi — A somber cloud hangs over the Hancock County community after a devastating shooting late Saturday night claimed the lives of two high school students and left four others injured. The incident, which occurred at a party attended by local teens, has sent shockwaves through the quiet coastal town and prompted calls for increased safety measures and community support.
According to police, the violence erupted around 11:30 p.m. at a gathering in Bay St. Louis where students from Hancock High School were celebrating the weekend. Witnesses say the evening took a tragic turn when gunfire suddenly rang out, sending dozens of teenagers fleeing for safety. Emergency responders arrived quickly to find a chaotic scene and began treating the injured on-site before transporting them to nearby hospitals. Some of the wounded were airlifted due to the severity of their injuries.
